our story

fivetonine began as a conversation about how difficult it was to find super cosy, high quality, cool clothes. Clothes that provide the same comfort as your beloved over sized t-shirt, but that are also fit for the activities of daily life - lounging, cooking, wining, supermarket trips, picking kids up from school, or taking the dog for a walk.

Quality clothing, that you feel cool wearing, and that you'd consciously buy knowing they will keep.

When I'm at home, comfort is everything. But, so is feeling good about myself.

My love for fashion has always centred around a super simple belief that when we wear things that make us feel like the best version of ourselves, we find the confidence we need to take on the world. Clothing can be used to control the narrative people create about you. 

Control is confidence - it is powerful.

And you know what, we need that confidence at home too. That became even more apparent in 2020 when COVID-19 changed the way we live. I was wearing the same clothes in lockdown, day-in and day-out, and I stopped feeling like myself. But I also wasn't going to dress up for Zoom calls. I spoke to my friends, and they felt the same.

So, here we are. My hope is to create a community of people who are clothed in cosyness and confidence.
